Unfortunately last night we had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant. Management needs to address this because there is such a disconnect between the amazing hotel and the incredibly disappointing food offering. The egg bacon roll was stuffed with cheap supermarket grade sausage with stale bread. Avocado was brown and tasted like it has been sitting in a container for a few days. The following evening the steaks were of a local pub-grade (despite high restaurant prices), bread was basically like a lumpy damper / scone and even the drinks (basic gin and tonics) were served flat and with browning / bruised citrus to accompany.īreakfast the next day was as equally as disappointing. Staff were nowhere to be seen and did not have much idea about the menu to give any guidance. and crap for $66 (like it had been steamed). Kangaroo tartare was wonderful but lamb shoulder was completely tasteless. The hotel is lovely and we expected the same for Muse.ĭining on a Sunday night, there were multiple menu items that weren’t available. We were incredibly excited for our two night stay at Mitchelton. I did have the Sambal Deer skewer at dinner which was very good but $18? More What a difference staff make to the occasion. We decided to give main courses a miss and cancelled our reservation for the following night and went to the Rowing Club in Nagambie where service was brilliant, food was great and a third of the price.īreakfast we did find a bit different.Lauren looked after us both mornings and food was very good, huge big breakfast using good produce obviuosly. Food was OK the Kangaroo tartar however was tasteless and can we a crisp bread that tasted stakle and was hardly crisp, waiter took it away and proudly brought us a fresh one cooked just now, the other one was cooked this morning, this arrived after we had finished the entrees. They new very little about what was being served. served then waitress came back and said sorry what wine had we ordered, so we had finished half our entrees before a drink came. I guess issue is problems getting staff during covid and the guys that served us at diiner appeared they had little or no experience waiting tables. I had similar issues to the previous reviewer who was there a couple of nights before us.
